X-rays (or radiographs) remain the most frequently used and most versatile imaging tool available. There strength is in producing images of bones but also of some soft tissues such as the lungs.
At SOS Centres the X-rays are created and stored digitally which means the radiologists can manipulate the images in a variety of ways to look at different aspects of the part of the body in question ie the bone or the soft tissues.
This system has further benefits because it reduces the need to take the X-rays again at a different exposure and it also means that your consultant can view the images on the large screens in the consulting rooms and discuss them with you.
