On qualifying Nikky took a position with St Georges NHS Trust as a junior physiotherapist partaking in their rotational scheme for 30 months working in a number of specialities.  In 2003 Nikky took at static part time senior II musculoskeletal position at King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor before returning to St Georges as a Senior I.  During her period in Windsor Nikky also worked in a specialist sports rehabilitation centre in Aylesbury specialising in cervical spine rehabilitation focusing mainly on professional rugby players and racing drivers.

Nikky has also worked within amateur and semi-professional rugby teams in England as well as professional basketball teams and the London Marathon for a number of years and still maintains a strong interest in the treatment of high level sports men and women.
